In the penultimate adventure of Flavia and her friends, they are trying to escape Alexandria unscathed, as they are wanted throughout the whole Roman empire. When they do manage to escape to the Roman province of Asia, Flavia and the gang now need to rescue Jonathan's baby nephew and a nursemaid called Lydia from Mindius. They travel through Asia, pursuing Biggest Buyer (Mindius), one of the largest key players in the slave trade business in the Roman empires.
In the end, as the title says, all of Flavia's gang (bar Flavia) and Aristo are baptised, as a Christian believer named Tychicus is travellng and healing all through out Roman Asia.
As usual, a semi-factual novel. It wasn't as action packed or exciting as the others published before but still interesting and a must read to those who follow the series.
